Residential Engineering FAQ's
Who engages the structural engineer in a house build?
Either the property owner or the builder can engage the structural engineer. In most residential projects the owner engages us directly at the design stage, and we then coordinate with the builder and certifier through design, documentation and certification.
What is the cost of engaging an engineer?

Do you do engineering for retaining walls?
Yes. Retaining wall design and certification is one of our specialties. We design walls for residential and commercial sites and can advise whether your wall needs council approval or qualifies as exempt development.
Do you design concrete pools?
Yes. Reinforced concrete pool design is part of our residential engineering services, and our past projects include the pool at the 116-unit Macleay Valley Village retirement complex.
Can you design the stormwater?
Yes. Stormwater design is one of our core services. We prepare council-compliant stormwater and drainage designs for residential lots, subdivisions and commercial developments across NSW.
